The GSA master NSA row for this metro is Omaha / Douglas County only (destination ID 231), lodging $122 / M&IE $80 year-round. GSA text (FTR 26-01 / per diem lookup notes): per diem localities with county definitions include all locations within the listed counties; when a military installation sits in a listed county, the county NSA can apply; when an installation is located partially within more than one city or county boundary, the applicable rate for the entire installation is the higher of the rates which apply to those cities and/or counties. Hours, phones, and lodging options move. Read the live pages. Where official pages disagree, we cite both. We do not flatten the conflict into a fake “current” number of our own.
- MOS check-in (retrieved 27 Aug 2026): if staying at Offutt Air Force Inns, check in at the reception office in the Malmstrom Building, 906 SAC Blvd., Building 436, Offutt AFB, Nebraska 68113. Your unit CSS provides an in-processing checklist.
- Newcomer Orientation is mandatory for all personnel in-processing to Offutt AFB. MOS: 4-and-a-half hour briefing covering required newcomer briefings except Finance and MPF. Spouses highly encouraged. Registration required. For dates, times, location, or to register, call Military & Family Readiness Center at 402-294-4329. Hours and the next class day are Monthly. We did not call it today.
- First Term Enlisted Course (FTEC): MOS check-in says enlisted members for whom Offutt is the first duty station must attend FTEC as soon as possible, but no later than 45 calendar days after arriving on station. Five-day course. Unit CSS has registration. FTEC is separate from Newcomer Orientation.
- Visitor Control Center: MOS check-in lists VCC at 478 Butler Blvd., adjacent to the United States Strategic Command Gate. Hours listed there: Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed on all federal holidays and Air Combat Command / 55th Wing Family Days. Hours are Monthly.
- Housing is privatized. Application / HEAT: Homes.mil HEAT. Air Force housing unit page: housing.af.mil — Offutt AFB (this datacenter got 403 on 27 Aug 2026 — still the official page). We do not quote waitlists or floor plans.

Offutt Air Force Inns / TLF — cite MOS and 55 FSS, do not flatten
MilitaryINSTALLATIONS temporary housing (checked 27 Aug 2026): Offutt’s Air Force Inns manages 13, 3-bedroom temporary lodging units from Rising View, in the Capehart military housing area. Each unit fully furnished, Wi-Fi and cable. Peak transition months May through October. Limited pet options — make those reservations as soon as possible. Reservations: 402-281-1292. Group reservations: offuttlodging2@yahoo.com. Address on that page: 906 SAC Boulevard, Offutt AFB, NE 68113. Reception desk Mon–Sun 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Administrative office hours on that MOS page: Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Check-in 8 a.m.–8 p.m.; after business hours, a key code for lock boxes inside the front entrance. No-smoking facility; $150 cleaning fee listed for smoking in a room.
Reservations (MOS TLF and MOS check-in, same language as 55 FSS): up to 120 days in advance, even before PCS orders. Reconfirm three days prior to arrival. Canceled at 6 p.m. on the check-in date unless guaranteed with a credit card.
Same MOS TLF page also says: even with a reservation, you must call 24 hours prior to arrival to confirm. That is not the same sentence as “reconfirmed three days prior.” Cited, not flattened. Monthly. We did not call the desk today.
55 FSS lodging (live page, checked 27 Aug 2026): Reception Desk Mon–Sun 8:00 AM–8:00 PM. We will not pick 2-bedroom vs MOS 3-bedroom as a winner.
Same 55 FSS page, “Lodging Rates (FY24)” table: still labels a row “Family Units (3 bedrooms).” That is a third official line on the same FSS page as “13 2-Bedroom TLFs.” FY24 is stale. We link the table. We do not publish those nightly amounts as current.
We will not invent a downtown hotel list. We did not use offutthousing.com or realtor blogs (listing / marketing sites, not official sources).
55 FSS also notes Active Duty members PCSing with fewer than two dependents will not be fully reimbursed for the cost of a TLF unit — contact lodging. That is entitlement language on their page. We are not your legal ruling. Use TMO / finance / your orders.
Climate and winter Seasonal / annual
Offutt is NWS WFO OAX (Omaha/Valley), not Bismarck. offutt.af.mil newcomers 403’d from this datacenter on 27 Aug 2026. We will not invent climate numbers (average snowfall, record low, “how cold it gets”) to fill the gap. Use NWS:
Winterize the car. Eastern Nebraska winters are real; NWS OAX is the live weather office. Vehicle-specific gear (block heaters, tires) is Auto Hobby / a local shop / the vehicle manual — not a random ASIN we invent. 55 FSS Outdoor Recreation and Auto Hobby are on the live FSS site; hours move.

Utilities Monthly
Official Bellevue and Omaha city pages only. We will not guess which electric company a given street uses. We will not invent a street-by-street map. Check the city list and your lease / MHO.
- City of Bellevue — Waste Water (checked 27 Aug 2026). City sanitary sewer. Sewer service problems: 402-293-3135 (or 911 after hours for an emergency sewer issue). Department phone on that page: 402-293-3136. Hours listed there: Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm. Those numbers live on the city page; they can move. Monthly.
- City of Bellevue news (annexation / trash): the fee for city trash service is described as a line item on a MUD utility bill. That is an official city page naming MUD as a biller. It is not a street map for water or electric. Bellevue city news — trash / MUD bill line.
- City of Omaha Public Works — sewer system (this datacenter got 403 on 27 Aug 2026 — still the official city page). Omaha city materials name the Metropolitan Utilities District (M.U.D.) as the billing agent that invoices and collects sewer use fees for the city.
- City of Omaha Public Works — report an issue (403 from this datacenter; still official). That city page names MUD for gas / water leak emergencies and names Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) for power outages and streetlight issues. That is emergency routing on a city page, not “your street is OPPD.”
